Autoimmunity, An Attack on the Microbiome

Date: March 26th, 2017

Location: NYC

An understanding of the immune system is rapidly advancing as we elucidate more and more information on how the microflora of our gut is a primary source of stimulus for how immune function is primed.

Objectives:

- Review data specific to different probiotic species as well as where they fit in with various auto-immune conditions. We will focus on protocols with Probio 350 and the 18 distinct strains it contains.

- Review lab markers associated with gut based autoimmunity including Zonulin, LPS and DAO

- We will look at researched treatments that modulate these markers and help to reverse the environmental stimulus necessary for genetic expression of auto-immunity. By removing the environmental trigger, genetic expression of a condition can often be reduced resulting in clinical improvement.
